The Best Korean Skincare for Glass Skin in 2026
The Best Korean Skincare for Glass Skin in 2026
Glass skin has been one of the biggest Korean beauty trends for years, and in 2026, the obsession with that perfectly smooth, luminous complexion isn’t going anywhere.
For me, glass skin is skin that looks beautiful even when there’s nothing on it: smooth texture, an even skin tone, faded dark spots and that plump, almost translucent glow that comes from deeply hydrated, healthy skin. And Korean skincare is still one of the best places to look for products that can help achieve exactly that. This year, some of the ingredients I keep seeing everywhere are PDRN, NAD+, retinal and peptides, alongside K-beauty staples like rice, ceramides and snail mucin. The formulas are becoming more targeted too, with products designed not only to hydrate and create glow, but also to tackle hyperpigmentation, refine texture and support the skin barrier.
So I’ve put together the best Korean skincare for glass skin in 2026, organized by each part of the routine : from exfoliation and brightening to hydration, barrier support and SPF, so you can find the products that make the most sense for your skin.
Glass Skin Step 1: Exfoliation for Smooth, Glass-Like Texture
Before we talk about glow, we need to talk about texture. One of the things that makes glass skin look so reflective is how smooth the surface of the skin is. When dead skin cells build up, skin tends to look duller and makeup doesn’t sit quite as beautifully.
The answer isn’t aggressive exfoliation every night, though. I think one of the biggest mistakes you can make when chasing glass skin is exfoliating too much.
Medicube Zero Pore Pads
The Medicube Zero Pore Pads are one of my favorite ways to incorporate exfoliation into a Korean skincare routine without adding another complicated step. The pre-soaked toner pads help remove dead skin cells and refine uneven texture while targeting the appearance of enlarged pores.
I wouldn’t necessarily use them every single day, especially if you’re also using retinol or retinal, but a few nights a week can make a noticeable difference in how smooth the skin looks.
Best for: Pores, congestion and uneven texture.
DR.MELAXIN Rice Peel Ampoule
Rice-based skincare has become one of my favorite sides of K-beauty. Rather than being another aggressive active, a good rice serum or ampoule can sit beautifully alongside vitamin C, retinoids and exfoliating products while focusing on gently exfoliation, hydration and luminosity.
The DR.MELAXIN Rice Ampoule is one I’d look at if you want that brighter, milky glass-skin finish without building your entire routine around strong acids.
Best for: Dullness and uneven-looking skin.
Glass Skin Step 2: Brightening Serums for Dark Spots & Hyperpigmentation
This might be the most important category if your goal is that incredibly clear, even Korean glass-skin look.
Hydration can make your skin glow immediately, but treating pigmentation is what gradually creates that more uniform luminosity. Some key ingredients to fight dark spots will be niacinamide and vitamin C.
numbuzin No.5+ Glutathione Vitamin-Niacinamide Concentrated Pad
These sit somewhere between exfoliation and brightening, which makes them particularly interesting if your glass-skin goals include pigmentation.
The numbuzin No.5+ Glutathione Vitamin-Niacinamide Concentrated Pads combine the convenience of a toner pad with ingredients targeted toward dullness and uneven skin tone.
Best for: Dull skin, post-acne marks and uneven tone.
Arencia Vitamin C Booster Shot
Vitamin C remains one of the ingredients I always come back to for brightening.
The Arencia Vitamin C Booster Shot is the kind of product I would incorporate into a morning routine when the main concerns are dullness, pigmentation or post-acne marks.
It also works beautifully in a glass-skin routine because you’re treating the clarity of the complexion rather than simply adding something shiny on top.
Best for: Dark spots, dullness and uneven skin tone.
EQQUALBERRY Vitamin Illuminating Serum
If dark spots and hyperpigmentation are standing between you and that clear, even glass-skin look, the EQQUALBERRY Vitamin Illuminating Serum is one of the brightening serums I would look at in 2026. The formula combines 4% niacinamide with tranexamic acid (TXA), vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, giving it a nice balance between targeting uneven skin tone and keeping the skin hydrated.
An even, clear-looking complexion is a huge part of what creates that almost translucent finish, and ingredients like niacinamide and tranexamic acid make this much more targeted toward discoloration and post-acne marks. The addition of hyaluronic acid also means you’re getting hydration at the same time, which is always a plus when the rest of your routine includes more active ingredients.
Best for: Dark spots, post-acne marks, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.
Glass Skin Step 3: Retinol & Retinal for Skin Renewal
If you’re serious about improving texture rather than temporarily making your skin look dewy, this is where retinoids become interesting. I don’t think everyone needs one, but for fine lines, uneven texture and overall skin refinement, a well-formulated retinoid can completely change a nighttime routine.
Celimax Vita A Retinal Shot
The celimax Vita A Retinal Shot is probably the product on this list I would reach for when texture is my biggest concern.
Retinal is one step closer to retinoic acid than retinol, making it an interesting vitamin A option for targeting uneven texture, fine lines and the overall appearance of the skin. The key is introducing it slowly. I would start with a couple of nights per week rather than immediately using it nightly—and I wouldn’t combine it with the exfoliating products above on the same evening.
Best for: Texture, fine lines and skin renewal.
ANUA Collagen Retinol Refining Gua Sha Cream
This might be one of the most interesting Korean skincare launches to add to a 2026 routine.
The ANUA Collagen Retinol Refining Gua Sha Cream combines encapsulated retinol with collagen and peptides, but what really sets it apart is the built-in W-shaped metal gua sha applicator. It allows you to massage the cream along the jawline and neck while the metal applicator gives that cooling, de-puffing feeling that makes the entire step feel much more like a ritual.
I particularly like this one for extending skincare beyond the face. We spend so much time treating our faces and then completely forget about the neck and décolleté.
Best for: Fine lines, firmness, neck care and skin texture.
Glass Skin Step 4: Hydration
If there is one step I would never skip when trying to achieve glass skin, it’s this one. You can exfoliate and brighten all you want, but dehydrated skin simply doesn’t have that plump, translucent quality we’re looking for.
Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum
PDRN is undoubtedly one of the ingredients defining Korean skincare in 2026. The Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum combines that trend with peptides in a formula focused on making the skin look plumper, smoother and more luminous.
This is exactly where I think newer Korean skincare gets exciting: hydration isn’t just hydration anymore. These formulas are increasingly designed to support the overall appearance and quality of the skin at the same time.
Best for: Plumpness, hydration and glow.
Numbuzin No.9 NAD+ PDRN Glow Boosting Toner
If your toner is going to take up a step in your routine, it might as well do something. The numbuzin No.9 NAD+ PDRN Glow Boosting Toner brings together PDRN and NAD+ in a first treatment step designed around hydration and glow.
Best for: Hydration, plumpness and glow.
EQQUALBERRY NAD+ Peptide Boosting Serum
The EQQUALBERRY NAD+ Peptide Boosting Serum is another example of how Korean skincare is moving toward more sophisticated anti-aging formulas.
NAD+ and peptides make this particularly interesting if your glass-skin goals include elasticity and fine lines alongside hydration.
Best for: Hydration, elasticity and fine lines.
Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask
And then there is the viral one. The Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask is designed to stay on for several hours or overnight, gradually turning transparent as the essence absorbs.
This isn’t something you need every night but whenever your skin looks particularly tired and dehydrated, it gives that incredibly plump, glossy finish we’re all trying to achieve.
Best for: An intensive hydration boost.
Step 5: Barrier Support
This is probably the least exciting step and arguably the most important one.
A compromised skin barrier can mean redness, dehydration, sensitivity and irritation—all essentially the opposite of glass skin. And once you start adding exfoliants, vitamin C and retinoids into a routine, barrier support becomes even more important.
Anua 7 Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum
The Anua 7 Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum combines two things I love seeing in Korean skincare: rice and ceramides. It’s the kind of serum I would layer into an active-heavy routine specifically to balance everything out.
If you’re using retinal one night and exfoliating another, having intentionally boring barrier-support days in between is actually a very good thing.
Best for: Dehydrated or weakened skin barriers.
Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse
For something richer, I love the idea of Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse.
Centella has been part of Korean skincare forever, and I think it’s particularly useful in the current era of K-beauty where our routines are becoming increasingly active. This anti-aging face moisturiser with TECA and Centella helps with elasticity, deep hydration and skin barrier care.
This is the kind of cream I would choose when my skin needs nourishment rather than another treatment.
Best for: Dry, stressed or mature skin.
Dr. Althea 147 Barrier Cream
The Dr. Althea 147 Barrier Cream is where I would finish the routine when my skin needs something nourishing and restorative.
A good barrier cream helps seal in all of those hydrating layers while supporting the skin after the more active steps in your routine. This cream is packed with ectoin for barrier care, ceramides and NAD for nourishment, and hyaluronic acid for hydration.
This is especially important at night if you’re incorporating exfoliating acids or retinoids.
Best for: Dry, sensitive or compromised skin.
Build a skincare routine for glass skin
I would build a routine around one product from each category, then adjust depending on what your skin actually needs.
AM: Gentle cleanser → hydrating toner → vitamin C/brightening serum → hydrating or barrier serum → moisturizer → SPF 50+
PM: Double cleanse → toner → retinal OR exfoliation → hydrating essence/serum → barrier cream
Then add the Biodance mask whenever you want that extra hydration boost. And rotate your actives instead of stacking everything together.
Because the biggest lesson I’ve learned from Korean skincare is that achieving glass skin isn’t really about having the longest routine. It’s about getting the balance right between smooth texture + even tone + hydration + a healthy skin barrier + serious sun protection. That’s what creates the glow.
DO NOT FORGET YOUR SPF FOR GLASS SKIN
Do not forget your SPF because we can talk about retinal, vitamin C, PDRN and brightening serums all day, but none of them make much sense if you’re not protecting your skin from the sun. Especially when hyperpigmentation is part of the problem.
UV exposure can contribute to dark spots, uneven skin tone and premature signs of aging which are pretty much the exact opposite of what we’re trying to achieve with a glass skin routine.
The good news is that Korean sunscreens are some of my absolute favorites because they tend to feel much more like skincare than traditional sunscreen. Lightweight textures, hydrating ingredients and beautiful finishes make SPF much easier to wear every single day.
And yes: SPF 50+ every morning. Even when your makeup has SPF.
You don’t need every product on this list, and everyone’s perfect routine will look a little different. Choose the products that target what your skin actually needs, introduce new actives gradually, and give them time to work.
Because ultimately, the best kind of glass skin isn’t just dewy skin. It’s skin that looks clear, plump, smooth and healthy—with or without makeup.
